What should a trustworthy online art store offer?

A checklist for evaluating the seller and the artwork:

• Photo approval before shipping. You should see photos or videos of your actual finished painting and approve it before it leaves the studio. We paint, photograph, and wait for your explicit yes. Without your confirmation, we hold the shipment and follow up with you.
• Insured, trackable delivery.For eligible website orders, free insured delivery has an estimated carrier transit time of 4–8 business days after dispatch, following artwork completion and explicit customer approval, under our current Shipping Policy. If the artwork arrives damaged, photograph the work and packaging and contact us within 7 days of delivery under the current Refund Policy.
• A real return window.Eligible returns may be requested within 30 days of delivery under our current Refund Policy, including custom-order exceptions and return-shipping conditions.
• Artist signature and framing detailsAt Rosemary Art, every piece is 100% hand-painted and signed by the artist. An artist-signed certificate of authenticity is available free on request for all currently sold artworks; it is not automatically included with every work. Current canvas paintings ship already stretched; rolled-canvas delivery is not offered. For framed options, the displayed price includes the selected outer frame. Where a frameless option is offered, the canvas is stretched and ready to hang without an outer frame.

What questions should you ask before you pay?

Ask who pays return shipping for an eligible change-of-mind return, what images are available for the work and how customization is priced. Request the terms in writing. At Rosemary Art, size and color adjustments have no additional customization service fee; the artwork remains priced according to the selected size and frame.

Is it safe to use a credit card on an independent art store?

A recognized checkout such as Shopify’s can provide payment-security controls, but it does not make every transaction risk-free. Check the selected provider’s current dispute and protection terms; eligibility and outcomes vary. Limited transaction details may still be visible to the store.

What if the painting looks different in my room than on screen?

Screens vary, which is exactly why photo approval and an eligible return window exist. Use both, subject to our current Refund Policy. Eligible returns may be requested within 30 days of delivery under our current Refund Policy, including custom-order exceptions and return-shipping conditions.

Are online originals cheaper than gallery ones?

Compare the total price, dimensions, materials, framing and service terms rather than assuming an online seller is always cheaper. A sales channel alone does not establish what a particular work should cost.

How do I know the size will work on my wall?

Measure the wall and compare an artwork-size paper template before ordering. Use a way of positioning the template that suits the wall finish. If the standard sizes don't fit, ask — size adjustments carry no additional customization service fee; the artwork remains priced according to the selected size and frame.
